The edelbrock carb is based on the old carter design and keeps all of the gaskets above the bowl. This results in fewer leaks. It is also a very simple but effective design for most applications. Maybe if your into the extreme hp engines you'll want a double bowl or some fancy setup, but for most of us a good Edlebrock is cheap, easy, and efficient. And the come in chrome, how cool is that!

I run a Holley 600 vac sec. Many seem to think its too small but it works great and trouble free for me. I modified it with with a 4150 conversion kit that allows me to change the rear jets. Im runnin 67 primary jets, 72 secondary jets, 7.5 power valve and the lightest secodary diaphram spring available. Slam the pedal to the floor from a stop, no bog, no hesitation..just go go go. Its small enough that it wont allow my engine to go much farther then 5500rpm under load, which is my selected redline. Its a built in rev limiter. It does scream all the way to the redline.
