Default has anyone here relocated their battery?

I noticed theres a lot of room behind the passenger side front wheel. certainly enough for a battery. Anyone ever do that? I know that the weight is better off towards the back but some of us like a lighter rear end for.... fun.

I have zero extra room in that area, its all taken up by the A/C. But if you got the room there that is where I would put it (if I wanted to relocate it).

Sounds like what you really need is an upgrade to your power plant:D I'm one of those types that likes to add all kinds of heavy stuff to my car, then just upgrade the engine to make up for it

I have given this some thought also, since I have removed all my A/C parts. Plenty of room.

That is a good idea, and it would free up a little room in the back compartment for other goodies, like a NOS bottle! :reddevil

Actually that's an easy swap, if you have the room, as kits are made for battery trays for Mid-Year....63-67 vettes.....either side, is where the battery was stock....depending on if you had a/c or not....

 I'd rather be sitting on the battery than a bottle of pressurized, explosive gas!

What's the matter? Don't you like lifting the trap door to hell? With all this humid weather I had to clean my terminals yesterday. It is a tough area to work in and it is an ugly thing to have in the pasenger compartment.

Jack71 commented on the explosive nitrous bottle. It is under pressure and ther is danger in that, but I do not belive nitous burns by itself. You battery however does make explosive gas.

Don't worry, it will only hurt for a minute. Ah, you might want to refrain from smoking though. :lolg: :lolg: :lolg: :lolg:
