What Mod are you most happy/disappointed with?
Very general topic, from tires to top, radiator to rear, curious as to what mods have your car looking/running to your liking . And in turn, what did you shell out cash for and was disappointed with the result. :U
Throw in a "But If I had it to do over i would...." for either if you'd like.

Happy list:
ZZ4
700R4 transmission (I would have been happier if it was built by a better shop, but still a good upgrade).
Rebuilt suspension
Mono rear spring
17" wheels and tires
switching from glass t-tops to the acrylic t-tops.
adding a cd player
Headers and dual exhaust.
removing rear tire carrier
Not Happy:
lowered front end - went too low, get to do that over again.
Cracking my original glass t-tops.
buying over priced and over sized speaker box for rear speakers from Ecklers. POS !!

Well I spent 6 months getting my car in running condition, if i did it again i could do all of it in maybe a day and a half  But i wouldn't it would have been better to do an engine swap or buy a new carburetor because i am still not satisfied.

HAPPY: Lars Recurve Kit ($45) = Best bang for the Buck by far. UNHAPPY: Headers = Not that much gain over Rams Horns.....

Re: (MNJack)
GDaina, Ddecart, happy with both! MJ
Best mod = 2004r. By far :yesnod:
Other happy mods = dual pipes (well worth it) with Monza "mufflers", correct factory alloys to replace Ferrari style wheels.
Worse mod = Can't think of one. Maybe Headers, but I'm still running stock heads, so the Headers probably won't do that much for it at the moment. Or maybe cleaning up & painting the alternator. Since I did that it occasionally makes some really strange noises but, hey, it sure looks good
If I did it all over again? I would have made my exhaust system with the clamps anywhere but the lowest point. How did I manage to do that? :( Also, I wouldn't have bothered getting the radio/cassette to work - what a POS!!!
One other catagory should be: Most infuriating, "this could turn me into a hammer wielding homicidal maniac", PITA, I wish I'd never started, job. That would be repairing the printed circuit boards behind the dash. By far. Nothing comes close. Correctly routing the plug wires is a childs play compared to that job. Maybe other jobs have been worse, but that one sticks in my memory :mad

Re: (UKPaul)
Installing the VBP advanced street and autocross is close with changing the cam from way to big, to a Comp 260H in the best mod category.
Worse mod, i don't know, but as far as if I could do it again, I would blow a little more coin and go with dual mount front and rear springs with my suspension. Might as well have the whole deal right? 200R4 and a 383 are hopefully on the list for this winter.

HAPPY
17 inch wheels - they draw a lot of positive comments
Fiberglass front and rear springs - rides like a firm suspension now rather than an ox cart
Holley 670 Street Avenger Carb - you can buy jets locally
NOT HAPPY :banghead:
local cylinder head porting - could have gotten aluminum and more performance for less money
KYB rear shocks - shouldn't have cheaped out

The best mods for me were the bigblock, the 8-71 blower and the tremec transmission.
Worst was installing and blowing 3 700R-4s.

1.2004r [just brought the whole package together]
2.hydroboost [now I can stop ]
3.383[including all parts used except intake]
4.steeroids
5.wheels,tires,supension upgrades
6.3.73 gears
For looks
1.sidepipes
2.wheels
3.paint
4.new interior
If I could do over
1.buy jethot coated Hookers,Hookers finish has not held up very well
2.use the preformer rpm when I first built the 383[have it now],the straight preformer intake was very lacking fpr my application
Overall :D :D :D

Ear-to-ear grin:
1) Switching from KYB to Bilstein shocks. I'll never run anything else.
@#%&#@$ reaction:
1) My ZZ3 crate motor w/ Twisted Wedge heads, Stage II Q-Jet, Hooker headers and high-flow cat (required in Texas). 251 rwhp & 308 rwt?

Best mods-
DeWitts radiator + Spal fans
PST suspension kit ) Edelbrock IAS shocks
L88 long style hood for cowl venting
Shift kit
Many more minor type, nothing I regret.
