I stepped out of the office and found this beauty sitting all by itself on the ramp. At first I thought it was some custom car until I got closer. It's either a Benz or a McLaren.

Yeah - those were in Off Topic a few days back. They were showing that the starter button was under a flip open top to the shifter handle.

To be Specific it is a Mercedes/McLaren SLR

Mercedes came up with the design and that is one of thier official test mules.
McLaren will build the cars for Mercedes.


Ohh yeah one other thing.. You say "They should lock these things" and I say
It's not your car you shouldn't touch it.. What right have you to touch the car?
I bet if Dialmer-Benz finds out about this and they track it back to you I am
just guessing the Airport you work for???? Will not be very happy and there
could be a repremand...

Think about it for a second.. How would you like it if you crated your C3 and
shipped it via air freight and some dock worker on the other side of the pond
decided since the doors aren't locked he's going to rummage through the
inside and take photo's ????

I did not rummage through the car, I didn't even open the door. I just though I'd take a few photos and share them with you guys.

EDIT: Sorry guys, I pulled the pictures :(
I didn't want to get any of the folks that showed me the car in trouble.

There's actually a test drive of the SLR in Car this month. They compare it with the new GT40 and the Lambo Gallardo.

If you didn't open the door then I see no problem with taking the pictures.
I have no issue with taking the photos I was just under the impression that
you took it upon yourself to touch the car, open the doors to take pictures
and if that was the case then I don't think that's cool at all. It's just me.. I
never touch anyone's car, even when they tell me I can I still ask permission.

To me, Messing with a mans car is worse than messing with his wife :)
