Default LOUD EXHAUST

Hello,

I'm in the middle of an engine rebuilt and when I'm done with that I will be installing new true dual exhaust. Since I've owned the car it's been all original, slow, and quiet. I have always wanted to own a loud, fast vette. Not that I'm building the motor the fast part will be taken care of (for now). The next step is sound. I have a set of dynomax headers and used 2.5" chambered pipes. How loud are Chambered pipes? Should I get Flowmasters or dynomax? I not only want loud, I also want tone (but not 5.0 mustang tone).

Thanks,
Kevin

If you want loud. Talk to BSeery about his Targa mufflers....I can hear him step on it from 3 cars back with the windows rolled up at 65MPH.

You say that like it's a bad thing ??? And that was with the stock manifolds and pipes too.

I currently am running headers, dual exhaust with catalytic converters, and H-pipe and Targa exhaust tips. No mufflers. I think the sound is VERY nice. Not too loud to kill you on long trips, like side pipes will. And obviously not too quiet .... :D

Here is the Targa exhaust tips, with a stock exhaust system.
http://www.redhotvettes.net/rides/BryanDyno2.mpg . Right click the link and then click "save target as", then download it to your hard drive. After it's downloaded then you can play it and it will play better.

EDIT: well, that's kind of a crappy recording, indoors and not near the exhaust. At least it's fun to watch.
