I you have a timing light that has a dial on it, when start the car and you turn the dial till the timing mark reads zero and the dial indicateds 10 does that mean your 10 degrees advanced?

Other question is counter clock wise is that advance or retard?

You got it right. What the dial on the light reads when the timing mark is on "0" is the advance in degrees. :thumbs:
