Default L-88 ?'S

What exactly are the specs for a L-88? (hp, 0-60, tq) and is it possible to take a standard 454 and build it up to be a l-88 clone? if so, what would be needed? just wondering it seems that they are a bench mark of our vette's.

Chuck Harmon could answer this very easily since he built a clone. The L88's were 427's not 454's. Chevy sold the LS7 crate motors which was basicly a 454ci L88 engine, though it never made it into a production vechile.
