Default Any news on Merlin's old vette lately?

I don't recall any recent stories of the monster. It would be nice to get the occasional update from the new owner and whether it will be at Carlisle this year.

The new owner posted an update on our other forum a couple of days ago. He said there was a little trouble with fuel mapping that needed to be worked on. The needed to change the spark plugs before doing that because they were fouled, but there wasn't enough room to get a wrench on the plugs, so they had to have a wrench made. They were about done getting the plugs changed, then they were going to retune the fuel delivery a little bit. The car had a problem with stalling on decerleration I guess. So, he hasn't got the car yet, but is hoping to get it home soon.

Do you have a link to that other forum? It sounds interesting.
Thanks,

Often times a new owner will spend considerable effort returning a vette back to its original condition.

How is Merlin, (Steve)? Has anyone heard from him since his decision to part with many of his toys? Does he visit the forum?

Cheers,

Stephen

Wouldn't that be the ultimate challenge? Return Merlin to a 100 point NCRS car. :smash:

I tried several times to get some pics and info on "insane asylum" but Steve has deleted everything it seems.
That was the most awsome Vette build up i have ever seen.
I hope the new owner posts someday but i kinda doubt it.
It'll either get put up or get wrecked beyond all hope.
If i had something like that it would be my deathride one day for sure.
