Default 76 Vette Value

I bought this car in 1977 as the second owner. It is an all original L48 with 76,000 miles and equipped with PS, PB, A/C, Auto, Gymkhanna Suspension, AM/FM Stereo, Tilt/ Tele, Rear Defogger, and factory Aluminum Wheels The color Is Mahogany Metallic (original Paint) Interior is Buckskin It is the vinyl interior not leather and it is like like new(the seats have always had covers on them). The carpets have been replaced with the original 80/20 loop from Echlers as the originals got wet and stained. The bumpers have faded somewhat but I am getting them redone. I have all the original documents for the car, window stickers, owners manuals T Top Bags and even the assembly order and the knockouts for the original keys. I am not sure what the value of the car is in todays market but would appreciate any feedback as to its worth.

"Today's market" is a pretty big scope. It all depends where you live and how your region is fairing as to values across the board. This is not a great time to be finding fair value as far as I am concerned and a buyer's market.

A very nice vette from your description by the way.

Check Corvette Fever Magazine for values, Hemmings and check out the area codes for location. Corvette Fever also posts sales of cars from the auction block. This way you can get a good sampling of sale prices.

Looks like a nice car, but 76's are not very high on vette buyers lists. I like to watch ebay (only the last hour or so really matters) and see what people really think its worth.

According to some software I downloaded from the Corvette Museum a 76 auto with A/C and aluminum wheels rates $6,400 if it is all original, but needs some cosmetic fixes. If it has no visible defects, but some details still need some attention then $9,400. A high-point show car should get somewhere aroung $14,400. If it is in concours quality condition where everything shines and has all original numbers then $16,400.
