Default Installed Trans Temp Gauge -- What do you think?

Well, I installed the trans temperature gauge in the drivers side vent. There are some advantages to having a "driver" ! The other alternative was to replace the clock in the center console. I decided on the vent since the AC is in a milk crate and, well, interior heat is not problem...

Interesting place to put it. Almost looks like a perfect fit. Assuming you pulled out the rotating vent and then installed it?

Yep, I save everything that comes off the car just in case I ever want to change back. Fit in there like a glove...

Nice job. I think if you put it in the cluster, it would have clashed with the factory gauges.

I've been trying to get my gauge hooked up for a month now,and finally gave up.What temps do you run? Also are you running the cooler through the radiator,or direct to a transmission cooler?

Well, I just finished bolting in my steering column today. I don't have any readings yet but I'll post some over this weekend.

Currently, I using the cooler in the stock radiator. I'm going to buy an alum radiator from Tom DeWitt at Carlisle. Going with the dual electric fans too. I wanted to get this gauge installed now to get some "before" readings.

The 400 engine is coming along nicely so I'm hoping to get everything in this fall.
