Calling anybody with an 80 vette, can you check something for me??
What is the current draw with your key off, door closed, interior lights off. I am drawing 0.7Amps or 700mA. That seems high. I already have a few fuses pulled to get it down to that low of current.

Try disconnecting the orange box behind the dash on the pass side, see if that stops it. Look in pic below.

How long are you waiting before you check it?Mine has a courtesy light timer that keeps the rear marker light on for a minute then cuts it off.With the burg alarm fuse pulled I think mine didn't pull any current if I remember right. I went down the dead battery road before myself.

My '79 draws about 4 amps with the antenna retracting and the interior lights on. When the antenna stops, it's about 2 amps. When the lights go off, it's 0.00 (thank goodness).

Once you find the problem post it please ,I have a similar propblem, battery goes dead in days What is the orange box uder the dash n the passenger side?

Its the interior light delay box. Also known as the drain you battery box. :eek:
