Default Brake calipers sucking air?

What is happening when brake calipers suck in air? Have had to have brakes bled twice since a brake job and wonder if I am experiencing that phenomenon.

it's caused by excessive rotor runout. I'm not sure if it causes the pistons to suck air past the seals or for the caliper halves to momentarily separate and pull air in past the oring, but I do know that the rotor runout causes it. Do a search for rotor run out and you should find what the allowable amount is.

My understanding is that rotor run out is when the warped rotor pumps the piston b/c the calipers are fixed in place and unable to "float" with the warped rotor. This pumping of the piston builds up air pressure between the dust cover and the seal on the piston causing air to be pushed past the piston seal into the fluid.
