Default Painting Bumpers 76 Vette

My 76 vette has the original paint on it which is in good condition except for the urethane bumpers they are kind of sorry looking and I wish to repaint them in the original color (Mahogany Metallic). I want to use Ditzler Acrylic lacquer but I am not sure as to the process, I have wet sanded most of the original paint off and they look sound, no cracks etc. I have never painted urethane before so my question is what kind of primer to use and do I use a flex agent in the primer and paint or just in the paint. Any information as to the process would be appreciated.

Thanks

Check with your paint dealer as not all primers or paints require flex additives.I used PPG on mine and none were needed.
