Default ac question

Not on my vette but one of the generals none the less.I converted my ac from r12 to 134 .IT was an original 2.5 lb sytem .IM pulling 60 degrees at the vents but the fellow who vacuumed it down only put in 22 ounces .After reading the info sheet in the conversion pkg it said to replace 134 at 85% capacity of r12 .My math says im 12 ounces short and should be pulling better than 60 at the vents .YOur comments please. Thanks

Default Re: ac question (hiyosilver)

Forget about the amount and service to a low side pressure of 26-28psi. That will be whatever it takes. This is with the engine running about 2K at normal temp. Your tep should be around 38-40deg F
