? about wheels.
I will soon be the proud owner of a 73 coupe, I want to put some Cragar wheels (or Cragar like) on it for one of my first mods, can you guys tell me what kind of backspacing I am going to need? I want the tires to look a little more "beefy" than stock, but not too radical. It's a '73 L48 with auto trans. I'm not sure whether or not I should go with 15" or 16" wheels. Anywhere I can see pics of each to decide? Thanks

Re: ? about wheels. (Peglegusus)
You can see the Cragar SS in my sig pic. Used spacers and had them custom made out of billet aluminum. So, that caused my 255/60/15s to rub in the front.
Then changed front to 235/60/15 and solved the problem. Still have 255s in the rear, and it gives it sorta a forward rake which I am not sure I like so much. Might put 235s in the back one day.
Love the Cragars! :)
Actually, you can see the wheels better in this pic:

Re: ? about wheels.
The wheels on both you guys cars look great
Timbo, so those bolted right up? I'd rather not mess with
any adapters if I could, not sure I trust them. I hadn'y really
considered 17's, are you getting any handling advantages out
of them?
OHHSIXX, are you using adapters just for the bigger tires? If
you put 235's all around would you still need them?
Thanks for your input, guys. :yesnod:
