I just about have this removed but cannot locate any harness to detach the wiring from the radio. The assembly and shop manual indicates a harness exists near the antenna assembly itself but I cannot locate one at all. I'm tempted to either create my own or remove the driver seat and console and then detach at the radio (which seems like a lot of work). Has anyone that's done this repair offer any advice? thanks

On an 80 the connector is behind the left rear speaker. Remove the speaker
and it is right there.
