Crankshaft sprocket install - Heat?
I am at the stage of putting on the crankshaft sprocket. Can I put the new sprocket in the oven for a half hour to help get it on? Will it weaken the sprocket? Is the a tool to push it on, or can I use a large socket and rubber plastic hammer?
Cheers

Re: Crankshaft sprocket install - Heat? (pik)
No heat needed pik. Sounds like a good idea though. Check the key is in good enough shape or replace it. Light coat of grease on crank snout only treatment needed. I used a big socket to clear the snout and just worked it on with a little encouragement from my 2-pound hammer. :D
