A Simplistic Question For All You "Know It Alls"
Thinking about getting some new valve covers for my 72 SB. Do I need tall or short? Baffle or no baffle?

You need short with baffles. Tall is for aftermarket rockers with polylocks and/or stud girdles. The baffles keep the oil in the head and not sucked into the PCV system. Joe

You need tall with baffles...for when you upgrade to full roller rockers and stud girdles. Then you won't have to buy new ones. :D
