Toronto Enthusiasts, I need your Help and Suggestions
I will be coming to Toronto in the next few weeks to look at and hopefully buy a C3. As per the Auto trader there seems to be an unbelievable choice of C3's in the Toronto area. I have focused on 4-BB and 2-SMB. Sam at Central Corvette has a few I am interested in. Just wondering If I can get your feed back on Central Corvette Is he a good guy to deal with. I would also like to get your feedback on other private for sale Vettes once I talk to the owners. Chances are you may know the owners and their Vettes.

I have talked to CC several times. In fact, I had him inspect my car before I bought privately. He definitely knows his corvettes. I will give him that much, but that's it. I don't think I could buy from him. His cars seem over priced. And I also checked with the OMVIC ( Ont. Motor Vehicle Industry Council) and he is NOT a registered dealer. I have been burnt before by another dealer, and now only buy private.
Just my $0.02 worth. Good luck with your search.

I will leave it to others to comment on Central Corvette (because I've never dealt with the guy), though I've seen some previous posts here in the Forum that were not entirely positive ....
Don't know whether you're a mechanic yourself, but if not, you might want to take the car to Grand Sport Motors, the Vette specialists who do all my work. They have a free inspection deal for people looking to buy Vettes.

Hello every one from Beautiful and quite Winnipeg sometimes a bit to Quiet
I really appreciate the feedback once I get my trip confirmed I will let you all know. Can’t wait till I find the right Vette and drive home. That will be one of the criteria that it will be very close to perfect and roadworthy.

Be very wary of doing any businesss with Sam from Central Corvette. He will try to gouge you for every cent he can. I only ever go to him out of sheer desperation, always for used parts, and I make sure I am positive of the fair market value of what I am looking for. He has a new showroom full of cars that I haven't seen yet.

...Thanks for the lead. I just got off the phone with Dino at Grand Sport and he indicated that they have a few C3's for sale and a customer of there’s has a 73 BB the guy apparently lost his job and is thinking of selling.

Re: Toronto Enthusiasts, I need your Help and Suggestions (vette_net)
I bought a 2002 C5 and traded in my C4 a couple of weeks ago. I also have a blk/blk 1980 C3 with ZZ4 engine, 700R4 with 4-auto "Quickshift" kit, separate oil cooler, Hooker headers, SS welded 2.5" Borla exh, 1-pce Astro roof, ZR1 rear, fibre rear spring, remote door locks, security system and many other mods. Need to sell the C3, maintained last 14 years by Bill and Dino of Grand Sport Motors. I have all the records. The C3 is advertised in the Toronto Star for $18K. Let me know if you are interested.

I am testing the market for my C3. It may not sell. I am still looking for another airplane. The 2 vettes with insurance is heavy. I hope I can still cruise with you guys and I'll quietly sit in the corner at your BarBQs.
