'68 on ebay- "all it needs..."
Quote by seller: "This is a 1968 Corvette. All it needs is a clean up, paint, a motor, and various odds and ends. The interior is in average condition considering the age of the car......" :leaving:

Take this car... rip is for parts. About the only thing that can be done. You are right... It never ceases to amaze me how people "pretend" to know nothing about the cars they are selling..... haa haaa :boxing

LMAO. if his son has a murcielago then he wouldnt be fixing a corvette, he would just by one in good condition

Reminds me of a '73 I went and looked at in Corvalis, Oregon. I don't think there was any way he could have misrepresented the conditon any more then he did. he wanted two grand for the Vette, I offered to haul it way for 50 bucks. Said the engine was "just overhauled," (three dollar rattle can overhaul). the holley carb had all the butterfly valves painted shut, top and bottom. his 10 year old son still had the paint on his fingers. 1200 miles round trip for nothing. :mad

.Yes: I am in the market for a C3 that is why I asked for assistance from the Toronto guys It always amazes me on how owners present or should I say miss-represented their Vettes. I have seen many Junkers I mean real Junkers here in the Winnipeg area. The nice vettes are selling for a small fortune. So I will try my luck in Toronto I can't believe the number of vettes advertised in the AutoTrader in the Toronto area. In Winnipeg you may see 2 C3’s in our local paper maybe once every 3 months.

The best way to kill a C3 frame is to drive it in winter, salty conditions. The second best is to store on bare earth.

Here is what I am reading in the add:
Car will need ALOT and he is trying to say this in a round about way. He appears to have tried something to "prosecute" dead beat bidders.
His main point is "if you are the highest bidder, I GOTCHA!!!"
The car is in Texas, but I am ashamed to say the seller is in Louisiana.
IMO at $2500.00, the highest bidder has overpaid.

(No problem, just don't bid unless you are ready to pay and take the risk of it not being whatever you thought it might be).
Dayum, nuff said IMHO. Poor '68

Considering the condition of the car, the son must have lost interest years ago...
That car needs a proper burial. RIP...
