CALI GOING DOWN UNDER!
Spoke to several buyers however jyounane got first high bid in and my Baby is going to be heading overseas to be resurected (spel?). Kind of sad but kind of excited to see posts in a few months of my old car sitting out in front of the Sydney Opera House
Sydney Opera House
Australia's most recognisable icon is dramatically situated on the eastern headland of Circular Quay. It's famous sail- and shell-like roofs were inspired by palm fronds, according to architect JØrn Utzon, but may remind you of turtles engaging in sexual congress. The Opera House is so unique that it has been photographed a zillion times, appears on an army of cheap t-shirts, every other Sydney postcard and decorates the frames of Dame Edna's dramatic glasses. It was built between 1959 and 1973, but plagued with construction delays and political difficulties which culminated in the resignation of Utzon in 1966. Although some visitors are disappointed by the interior, designed by a consortium of Australians after Utzon quit, it's a truly memorable place to see a performance or to sit at one of its outdoor cafes with a bottle of white wine and watch harbour life go by. The Opera House hosts theatre, classical music, ballet and film, as well as the seasonal opera performances. There is free music on the prow of the Opera House on weekends and a craft market on the forecourt on Sunday.

Dave,
I'm glad to see that someone had the initiative to take on a resto of your 'vette.
Although it breaks your heart to see it in the present state - It can be repaired.
Please keep us posted, if you can.
Are you saying that the new owner is already a forum member ?
If not - then beat some sense into him/her. :boxing

The buyer is already a member, so we will get to keep up with his progress. I did a search and came up with the above profile.
jyounane, Keep us updated with your progress.

If like his profile reads that he's from Melbourne then your car won't be seeing our Opera House unless he makes the long drive up here from down in Victoria and that could be quite a while from what I've seen of it.
Glad to hear it's finally worked out for you tho. Good luck with the future.

Yep,
I'm going to have a lot of fun bringing this car back to life. I think it's an excellent proposition, even though freight / customs / taxes will be a killer!
Cali,77,L-82 has been a real gentleman to deal with, he is as good as his word which is real nice these days, especially when you're buying a car overseas. Jason from Fantasy Junction in Melbourne will help me with the repair.
Thank you all for your best wishes. As you can see I've already got more projects than I can handle.
Wish me luck.
Joe
