Hello

Well it is that time again when all of the Corvettes across this great state converge to one area to find out who is the baddest of the bad. It is a couple months away until the race of the year. "THE FASTEST STREET VETTE IN TEXAS SHOOTOUT VI" . The XTREME Corvette Club of Texas is proud to bring you the Sixth Annual Fastest Street Vette in Texas Shootout at Hallsville Raceway in Hallville TX ( http://www.voy.com/16212 ) on Saturday, September 27, 2003. The past few years have been memorable, just look at some of the past results.

1998 - we only had a quick 16 class with 18 cars out to qualify
Joel Perez 1992 Yellow LT1 10.??
SW 1995 Red LPE 383 LT1 10.??
Joel won by just a hair at the finish line.

1999 - we only had a quick 16 class with 26 cars out to qualify
David Stone 1992 Supercharged LT1 10.877 @ 129 mph (ET Streets)
John Sims 1994 Supercharged LT1 11.582@ 129 mph (Drag Radials)
David won by over 7 tenth of a second.

2000 - We rented the track for two quick 8 class (heads up) and three bracket classes, we had 54 cars.

Xtreme Street Quick 8
Le Grand Kirby 1997 Red LS1 11.536 @ 123 mph (ET Street)
John Garzonie 1997 Red MTI 383 LS1 11.082@129 mph (ET Street)
Le Grand (11.23?) won the race when John (11.4) red lighted

True Street Quick 8
William McCook driving SW old 1995 Red LPE 383 LT1 12.654 @124 mph
SW 1998 MTI Red 383 LS1 12.495 @ 130 mph
SW won by .003 now that is a close race

2001 - We rented the track again for two quick 8 class (heads up) and three bracket classes, we had 47 cars.

Xtreme Street Quick 8
Chris McKinney’s 1999 Black FRC LS1 10.922 @ 117.21 mph
Chad Cates 1991 Red 383 LS1 11.045@129.12 mph
Chad won the race by .0755

True Street Quick 8
Darren Brown driving his “Yellow Beast”1996 Supercharged 383 LT4 11.835@122.86 mph
Joe Bob Shirley in his 1997 LPE Twin Turbo LS1 12.473@124.48 mph
Darren Brown won by .2938

In 2002 We rented the track again for three quick 8 class (heads up) and three bracket classes, we had 38 cars

Ooh, sounds like fun, where's Hallville?
Hallsville is just east of Longview on I-20. Great, small track with great owners and the crew there really keeps the track in good condition.

It's about 2+ hrs. east of Dallas and a little farther of a drive north from Houston.

Hello

Here are the details for the race.

PLACE: Hallsville Raceway, Hallsville TX

DATE: September 27, 2003

TIME: Gates Open at 4:00 p.m.

COST: $15 per tech card for racers & $10 for spectators

PRIZES: 1st & 2nd place awards in all six classes

RULES: All cars must be street legal, meaning it must have current state inspection and insurance NO RACE CARS PLEASE

All Hallsville Track Rules and Guidelines apply and the vehicle must pass a tech inspection by the track technicians. Any person without proper safety equipment for their speed during competition will be automatically disqualified. Rules enforcement will be at the track's discression, not XCCT's. If you have any questions about the track rules please call them at (940) 382-2709.

Bracket Racing Classes:
Street (13.5-up) Maximum tire size allowed is 29x10.5 or 345 wide
Super Street (12.50-13.49) Maximum tire size allowed is 29x10.5 or 345 wide.
Xtreme Street (under-12.49) Maximum tire size allowed is 29x10.5 or 345 wide

** First round buybacks are available for $10 in all Bracket Classes **

Heads Up Racing Classes:
Xtreme Street NA Quick 8 (8 fastest Naturally Aspirated Corvettes) Must be street legal (full slicks and skinnies are allowed) Maximum tire size allowed is 29x10.5 or 345 wide. MOTOR ONLY NO POWER ADDERS (NO! Superchargers, Turbos, or NOS)
Xtreme Street Quick 8 (8 fastest Corvettes) Must be street legal (full slicks and skinnies are allowed) Maximum tire size allowed is 29x10.5 or 345 wide
True Street Quick 8 (8 fastest Corvettes) Must be street legal (Tires must be D.O.T. approved) However, we are explicitly excluding ET Streets tires and front Skinnies from this class. Max tire size allowed is 345 wide
