The Mini Rat lives !! But I think I have a broken motor mount
Finished installing the CC282 solid cam and Victor Jr. intake, roller rockers etc. etc. etc and took it for the mandatory hood off maiden voyage.
I can tell you it runs good but I hit the gas and the whole motor lifted up about 1-2 inches on the drivers side, so I never got to see how it pulls after 3000 RPM.
My question is how do I determine if I broke a motor mount ?
And how hard is it to fix ?

It's not bad to change the motor mount just need to jack up the engine to change it out. Your local parts store (O'Reilly for example) will have them in stock. If I were you I'd order the poly mounts from Summit, htis is what I did for my Big Block. A lot stronger than stock and has less vibration to boot.

I replace just my drivers side mount with a single poly one bought at Autoworks. The eng barely moves now compared to the couple inches it moved before and it doesn't seem to feel any diff than with 2 rubber ones.

Pajama Sam just did one last Friday ......
I helped Pajama Sam with his mounts we were able to change out both sides in 3 hours. biggest PITA was the power steering pump. pass side is easier that the drivers side.

Ya it was not that hard. The help STPman gave me was great. He worked from above the engine and I crawled under the car. Just a little work and they were swaped. I got a new set from Canadian Tire. $36 after tax for 2. They didn't have them in stock when I called at 12:00, but had them for me at 5:00 :-)
