Any thought on under drive pully sets?
Other than the fact they cost a ton of money, do they work without screwing anything else up? I never had a cooling problem with a stock water pump and I just installed a high volume pump so I don't thing a few less rpm should have any measurable impact on my cooling. I least don't think it would.

I tried these and have read others' comments. Conclusion: a little power to be gained at higher RPM due to less drag, no impact on typical cooling needs. Most sets include a different alternator pulley which will probably cause your alt to turn more slowly and possibly discharge your battery.
IMHO, unless you're trying to wring every last HP out of your engine - it's not worth the $ or effort.

Underdrive pulleys do work. The problem will definately be with your battery. The larger pulley on the alternator will not do the job charging your battery in most cases. You can underdrive the crank with no problem.

I put a set on my C4 and took them off after having battery and alternator issues. I wouldn't run them on a big block because of possible cooling issues. :nonod:
