What does a radio delete plate look like?
Well, I decided to clean the car after one full year of purchasing it
Found a metal plate with slight curve on the ends and 2 screws sticking out of it. Is that what they call a radio delete plate? Should I keep it? Worth anything?

That's exactly what it looks like.
Now, what's so special about these? Doesn't everyone want a radio in their car
Why is it hard to find? Should I hold on to it? Will it increase the value of my car

Unless you have documentation that your car was an original radio delete car, it won't add to the value.

Also, had bunch of metal plates 1x3 with hole in them. About 8 in total. Anyone know what those might be for? Maybe shims for this plate?

For 1974 "radio delete" was not an option. It was standard. Code U58 was the stereo AM/FM radio and Code U69 was just the AM/FM radio.
If this code does not appear on your build sheet, they you have a radio delete car. Also the radio delete cars had no antenna nor did they have a hole for one in the body. If you do have a true radio delete car, then someone has drilled a hole in your fiberglass for an antenna.

In the pile, I also found the owners manual, the original window sticker and spec sheet. What is the code for this option?
The lack of a radio on these earlier cars will not appear on the window sticker because lack of a radio was not an option... Radios became standard equipment around 1977-1978. When this ocurred there was an option code created to signify a deletion of the standard equipment radio.
These radio block off plates tend to sell for around $200- $300 if they are in good shape... A reproduction used to be available for around $150.

If the part you have is the radio block off panel then it is worth some money. They are very hard to find. Very few cars came with them. And they were not really avaiable as a service part as no one was pulling the radio and blocking the panel off. So those panels are very few and very far between.
Just looked on ebay and no Corvette radio delete panels there but they did have this one for a '69 Camaro
and bidding is up to $177 on four bids and still has over 5 days left
