L-88 hood air box question
Is it possible to make my aftermarket L-88 hood work like the original, or would I be wasting my time for little benefit? I currently have a 3" K&N filter with a Extreme K&N lid. I know its working because the lid gets dirty very fast and the other filter looks almost new. I do like looking at the motor shake and rattle though!

Sure, I cut my original hood and bonded on an Eckler L88 scoop back in 96 when I painted my car. Just last year I ordered the cold air box and related parts to make it functional....

Absolutely. I have the Ecklers L88 hood and their airbox. Paragon makes the L88 aircleaner setup (excellent quality). Works great.

Re: L-88 hood air box question (467-Ratman)
I made my own air plenum box with 1/8" plywood, posterboard and covered the whole thing with fiberglass cloth. Then added rubber door weather strip to seal to underside of hood. BTW: this thing mounts between air cleaner base and air cleaner. It seals to my aftermarket hood and looks decent after sanding and some black paint. Best of all, it works.
