Cheap side pipes--Yea or nay?
Came across the J.C Whitney cheapos at $140 for the pair or the Dynomax Sideliners at $250--same style from both--3" pipe w/heat shield(slotted). Anyone have anything to say about performance, sound, or quality from these 2 cheapos? IS there a difference between these 2? Thanx for any help. :)

Odds are they will not even get close to working and you'll just end up throwing them away. There's tons of clearance problems with vettes and headers alone. I'd hate to see where J.C. Whitney sidepipes might end up routing to. Not too many people get into the business as the vette sidepipes are pretty unique.

Talk to bence13_33 (Shane), I believe he had these pipes on his Vettes prior to installing this Hooker Side pipes.
I would just save for the real thing. It will be worth it in the long run. :iagree:
