door locked and will not unlock
I thought it might be the rod so i took it off and then moved the lock lever inside the door at the latch but it will not move enought to unlock the door.
will try more when i get back to san antonio as i dont have tools up here in dfw. the door is stuck closed with the skin still on :cry
any ideas? i did a search but did not find anything othere than wd40 and work it free.

With a long thin rod it's possible to fish down to the latch mechanism and apply pressure to where the latch rod connects to an armature on the latch.
It would be difficult to explain exactly where you have to push, but I was sucessful in getting my 77 open this way after I misadjusted the latch rod. You'll need a high power flashlight and a lot of luck.
