I just finally got the car on the road after putting in a new 350 and 700-r4. I am so happy that its finally driving again! Anyhow...You guys will be seeing a whole lot more of me soon. Just wanted to give everybody a nice hello. I have a few questions but Ill save them for a new post

Cool  She should be a screamer. Whats yur redline gonna be with that 286 cam. Probably pushin 7k huh? Yur setup looks pretty good. Only thing I can see is maybe a bit hight stall speed would be better. But then again...will the tires stick? :smash: Keep us posted

Thanks guys. As far as the stall...ya its a little low. Im actually kinda upset. I originally had a 2800-3000 stall for it. But when I called BTO he highly recommended the 2400 stall and said that he didnt think I would be happy with the higher stall. Well I figured he knew best...and I went with his suggestion. However now I can barely even feel the 2400 stall and I know I wouldve been fine with the higher stall which wouldve been better for the cam. But oh well. I could trade it back in for a 2800 no charge if I wanted to pull the tranny again...but after all the work, I think Ill just stick with the damn 2400, lol. I dont know though. I was talking with a freind, and he thinks I should definitely go with a 2800-3000 stall and it would be worth it to pull it out. Anybody have any clue if you can get the converter out without having to pull the whole tranny?
As far as redline, ya I figure around 6500-6800. Should be exciting. I havent even hit over 3,000 in it yet and thats where the power is. I think the cam is a little high for the street...but I already had the shortblock built from a previous project that went kahootz. I wouldve probably just went with a crate engine if I didnt already have so many parts that had been sitting for 3 years from my first mistake of a car. But it should be fun no matter what.
