Ontario Members-Need 1967 Licence Plates
Would you fellows/gals in Toronto/Southern Ontario have a look out for a really good pair of 1967 Ontario license plates if you are at cruise days/swap meets? I have not been successful in finding a pair in the Ottawa area. Thanks!

Paul,
My wife and I go antiquing here in PA. If we find a nice pair of '67 Ontario plates, what would be a fair price?

Jeff,
For a really clean passenger car pair I would pay up to $25.00US. They have to be clean for the Ontario Government to accept them for placement on my 1967.

Wait a minute. You mean to tell me that if I could find a 1976 plate for my... '76 I can use them on the car, instead of the plates issued by the Government???

The last dated plate for Ontario is 1973 after that you added stickers

Not that this is really important, but does anyone else think the Ontario plate is kinda' boreing looking? Maybe a new plate with a background on it? Mike, here is a chance to get that Photoshop goin'.

Thanks fellows. I may have found a pair in the Bronx, NY. Not sure yet. So keep looking. This is the Ontario year-of-manufacture license plate program.

This is an example.
The plate of that year is unique in that it celebrates Canada's 100th Birthday. And my new Corvette just by coincidence....

Thanks everyone! I located this pair in New York City. I should have them this week. Then I will register them with the Ontario Ministry of Transport and on the car they go. With a 2004 validation sticker of course.

Paul, I checked a couple of 1968 plates on EBAY with the MOT only to find out both numbers are unavailable as in use elsewhere. I hope you checked with them before you bought these! I've checked quite a few numbers recently, all with no success, so am scrapping the idea. It's a great concept but I think you need really "good luck" to find plates that happen not to have the number assigned to some other vehicle, such as trailers/snowmobiles, let alone cars. :nonod:
