This is really very funny...Originally, I posted looking for help removing my A.I.R. system. I didn't see that post show up on the forum so I sent this one as a test. The A.I.R. post was there (just dint see it, duh). Here's the funny part...nobody replied to my "need help removing A.I.R system" post, but everybody replied to this one! Go figure...

Gotta admit though.... pretty darn comical. Nothing like a good laugh after sweating away in the garage trying to figure out which vette is the next victim of "Bubbadom".

Yup, and sweating in the garage I did today. The radiator sprung a pin hole leak. The manual says to just "unbolt the shroud and lay it over the fan, then carefully remove the radiator". Yea, right! After moving the air pump, AC compressor, removing the belts and unbolting the fan blades, I was ALMOST able to get the shroud out of the way. What a pain in the butt. Of course, I just made the car all pretty last night for this mornings Corvette Club cruise to the beach. Good thing I noticed the leak late last night...couldn't make the cruise, but better to get stuck in my garage than 20 miles away. Have I been rambling? :sleep:

Two of the C-3's that I have had over time had all that fan shroud stuff gone by the time I got it. Guessing the previous owners got tired of messing with the misery of the fitting that GM incorporated into it. I'm sure it has some use for a daily driver in traffic, but I've never bought one for that purpose.
I farmed my radiator replacement(Dewitt) out to someone after I got tired of messing with pulling the shroud. And there wasn't even an engine anywhere within 10 feet as it was on the engine stand. I'm sure I was missing something, but at some point in time I look at my time I am putting into one of these things and calculate the beers I have missed. :cheers:
