I just want to scream!!!
Fek. I go to get the car smogged today and the god blasted farging pimple faced puke of a tech put a chip the size of a quarter in my paint. and to top it off the car fekking failed.
AAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Now the owner of the shop - a right proper english speaking person whom I can understand - (because that tech I am sure was from another planet - god only knows what freaking language he was speaking) is very apologetic and will pay whatever it costs to fix - no questions asked. its just that DAMMIT I dont want to HAVE to fix the paint I fixed only 6 fekking months ago.
I want to throw things - break something - scream at the top of my lungs - jump up and down until I'm too damned tired to be upset and frustrated.
one more time for good measure
AAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
:nopity poor fekking me :nopity

it makes you wonder how businesses stay in business because of idiots like that....if people would just take the time and give a crap about their jobs and what they're doing, you wouldn't have to worry about getting your car paint fixed or him throwing away money for what it costs for you to get it fixed...i know you've probably heard this before, but thats why i work on my own car, no matter what it is! :cuss

Well the little bugger left the fekking cables that hook to the engine under the hood when he backed the car off the dyno - the inductive pickup caught on the edge of the fender where it meets the hood - and "Chips Ahoy" there it goes.

Eric try having a “chip” the size of your front clip.
Remember that nice chip that miraculously never appeared in any photos of my car?

Maybe I missed it, but what do you have to do to pass the inspection? It would have seriously pissed me off too is some idiot did what you said happened. Go beat up parts of David's car he won't be selling.
Sorry Cali :D
A question now that these stringent inspections are now going on. Do you think it might drive some buyers to older vettes that do not have to live with these tests? Texas is pushing it across the state as we speak(or done it competely maybe). And what is the age of a car in California where those tests don't have to be performed?

fauxrs,
Sorry to hear about the paint chip. I am paranoid about leaving my car anywhere since I don't trust anyone...
Last December, after I broke the motor in, I had it towed via flatbed to the exhaust shop. Well, the idiot who towed it ran a chain under the car approx where the door hinges are and hooked it up on the frame rails (the side exhuast covers were off. He then hooked up the cable in the center of this chain deal and pulled it up the flatbed.
Well, after I got the car home that night, I looked under the car and the GD oil pan was DENTED. (the cable had created the dent as the car was pulled up on the flatbed. So, a got a nice dent in the bottom of the pan with ZERO miles on since I had not driven it because the exhaust wasn't hooked up yet.... :mad
I ended up getting AAA to pay me $165.00 to cover the damages.... I showed the owner of the tow company what happened but he didn't believe it happened that way....
So, I know how you feel..... :yesnod:
Did the car pass the smog check???? I hope so.....

Re: (Bob Turner)
Owner didn't believe that his employee put the dent in your oil pan eh? So essentially he was calling you a liar? I would have taken that oil pan off and created a new dent in it...The Shape of his Head! People that take no personal responsiblity for there mis doings really **** me off!

Eric - SORRY to hear about it. Why couldn't something like that happen to my crappy paint job instead of your beautiful paint!! :( I would gladly want someone to pay for my repaint, but yours was perfect. Damn shame! :(
