Listning to Q107, and they were playing this song, it starts with a guitar sounding as though it’s shifting throu gears. Cannot remember the main lyric though. It's from the 70's or 80's not sure when. Also, as we drive Sharks, I'm thinking of tapeing the music from Jaws, when its about to attack, and play that when I drive up to another 'Vette, don't think anyone else would find that funny :D

I know that song your talking about. The one with the guitar going through the gears. Its by Motley Crue, or maybe Poison, but I believe its Motley Crue. Its on the Gran Turismo 3 video game for Playstation 2. Ive also seen the music video. Its all racing footage, mainly crashes, but its pretty good. Sorry I dont know the name of the song.

Yup sounds like were closing in on this song, I think it may be Motley Crew. Can you remember any of the lyrics, if I can get it back in my head I'm sure I can find the song. Could it be "Kick start my heart"?

This was the first thing that came to my mind when I read the first post. Sammy Hagar on vocals. This is a great song. It starts off and sounds like a bike going through the gears. The end of the song does it again. Excellent song. :thumbs:

Gotta give a vote for Thunder Road by Mitchum. I got this song on a CD that Hot Rod magazine gave away with a new subscription. Never had heard of it before (heck, I didn't even know Robert Mitchum sang songs), but it's a cool song about moonshiners (pre-NASCAR) running booze.

I have Dr Feelgood on cassette. I know the song but dont remember the beggining. Its been a while since I heard it...

It seems like Eddie Van Halen started off a song like that before as well.
