Default Pontiac finally going to drop the Firebird and Camero?

I really hope so, cause looking head on I can't tell if its, a Camero, Firebird, or C5 :lolg: I like C5's but to me they look like Pontiac's from the front, until you get close of course. If it wasn't for the Corvette badge on the C5, I'd be thinking its another Pontiac. :smash:

They quit making them last year, 2002 was the final year.

Did they ever give a reason for why they were stopping production and what are the trailer park boys supposed to buy now?

I had a 75 Camaro and a 96 Z28. Great cars. Really hope they'll come back in V8/rear wheel drive form.

And it's spelled Cam a ro, not Camero!

Sales. They couldn't sell enough of them to justify keeping them. Pretty stooopid, if you ask me. Look at what a little marketing and nostalgia did for the Mustang. Heck most of the 'stangs are base V-6 models that sell like hotcakes :(

I cut my teeth on F-Bodies...69 Camaro, 95 Z28, 96 WS6, 98 Camaro SS...great cars, sorry to see em go. I betcha GM watches sales of the GTO closely and rebadges it as a Camaro if sales prove out.

They'll probably be re-introduced as front wheel drive psuedo rice-rockets in 2005 or 2006. What a friggen shame! Right now in the US if you want a rear wheel drive, domestic perfomance car you have very few choices. Corvette, Viper, Mustang, GTO(from Austrailia.) Did I miss any?
I think F*rd and Mercury are selling a rear wheel drive sedan for the police market, but other than that it is pretty bleak!

No one ever made a Camero but Chevy made a Camaro

The California Highway Patrol bought up the last of the Camaro SS's

I realize that Pontiac never made a CAMARO, but thats a mute point. The point of the post is that the CAMARO, Firebird and C5 look the same TO ME looking head on. If you ask me I think GM screwed that up. I only hope that the C6? has a better looking front end.

I hope so, I've no interest in dreaming about affording a Firebird look-a-like.

I didn't really read through all the posts here so I dont know if anyone already mentioned this, but I heard that they were stopped because the production numbers were getting so high and the values were dropping. I could be wrong though.
