Advice on exhaust -PLEASE
Hey everyone, my '69' has a '67' 327 in it. It has side pipes-the ones w/the chrome slotted shields which are leaking everywhere. I'm thinking of the fiberglass stock style covers w/either the aluminized or stainless stock style pipes and was possibly thinking of headers. What should I do? There are so many choices and combinations--Hooker side pipes, stock style--Oh, and what about pipe sizes for my 327? Headers too(size)! Thanx

I'd checkout what Dynomax has for headers in 1 5/8" ceramic coated that would work for your side pipe setup. I love the look of pipes, but if you want a bit more gusto, I'd run a 2 1/2" dual exhaust with something like a set of Flowmaster 40s... I'm sure others will chime in here.

Re: Advice on exhaust -PLEASE (dath)
I'd ditch the sidepipes and go with either a stock exhaust (but 2.5" pipes, that were on the larger hp small blocks) or go headers and undercar exhaust, the headers being 1 5/8". Or....go headers and sidepipes, like 1bad69's that look awesome, loud as hell....and apparently tough on girlfriend's legs.....
