Need Mechanical Fuel Pump Recommendation
I replaced the mechanical fuel pump around 6-months ago and it looks like it’s on it’s last legs “ just started making that clicking sound. Can you guys recommend a good quality pump? Thanks

The stock GM Delco pump has always been a good one for up to 350-400hp fuel needs. The one you replaced was it brand X or an actual Delco? Both Edelbrock and Holley are good mechanical ones, but you probably should install a pressure regulator with them as they may be too much for the stock carbs. The only problem with Edelbrock and Holley pumps is they do no have a return line for vapor locks. If you are in a hot humid climate this may be a problem.

Pump should not be bad in 6 mo., it's possible that the F.P. pushrod or cam is worn. If stock cam, you need another cam anyway.

Re: Need Mechanical Fuel Pump Recommendation (Ganey)
Thank-you for the feedback. It was a bran X don't remember the manufacture, cant see a name looks like the manufacturer was too ashamed to stamp its name on it. From know on I will check with GM 1st I will also replace the pushrod.
