CALI BACK ON E-BAY
Well it took Farmers 58 days to close out with me, and no I still haven't got the check (in the mail). My lawyer reufused their paperwork five times becuase they could not put a proper sentence together amongst all the appraisers there at the Farmers claims office San Diego. I actually had to call them myself and guide them thru how to properly draft a document. Right now Farmers is at the top of my poopie list and they will be getting several customer complaint letters from me.
Well anyway the Vette is back on E-Bay and I hope to get it off my property soon.

Re: CALI BACK ON E-BAY (GrandSportC3)
Man you got farmers to actually pay??? Good job.
Nevada used to have a law that the insurance company had to provide the DMV a listing of what vin#s were insured and which ones were not. Farmers kept screwing up and not showing our cars. (even though we were prepaid for a YEAR) till finally the dmv sent us notice in the mail that our plates were to be removed and sent to the dmv because of no insurance. It took about 100 phone calls to farmers and all their idiot reps untill I got it correct. The DMV STill charged me $150 licence plates reinstatement fees and farmers refused to pay up. Needlees to say, I no longer use farmers insurace. Between our cars, house and other poopie they said goodbye to about $6000 a year.
Good riddence!

If I had any cash right now, I would buy it in a heartbeat. I love that engine!!! What are you going to do with it if your reserve is not met?

Well I'm the high bidder with the reserve not met. Hey you better be getting another Corvette!! When you get the new Corvette remember it is bad luck to drive Corvettes without a hood.

I drove down to meet FAUXRS for some brews and it drew quite the crowd but honestly it’s as redneck as I could stand. Call me if you want at (619) 729-3130

I've always been curious, when they give you an option to buy your car back, is it a good deal? You don't have to post the amount, just a rough percentage of value. :D Are just IM me.

I have never sold anything on EBay but have bought a few things. Do you get to list it again until it sells or only one extra time? Just wondering. If you get to list it again, you might want to be a little more descriptive on what stuff was damaged / what stuff is still good i.e. engine still runs with no leaks...blah blah blah.. stuff like that if you know. From a buyers point of view (mine), there isn't a lot of info on current status of the car or usable/unusable parts and that could possibly be the reason for the low bids. Not trying to be negative at all, just trying to be a little helpfull.

Re: CALI BACK ON E-BAY (Maurice)
Maurice,
David can relist it again, but will have to pay the fee again. If it doesn't sell the 2nd time they refund the second fee. One way or another you are out the first fee. Ebay wins either way as they do not make their real money on the listing fee. They expect that most will lower the reserve the second time around and eventually sell.
David,
I wish you luck. I know you wanted to get it out of the way, so I guess you gotta make some decisions on what you want to do. You might think about relisting it with no reserve and maybe $500 less than what you really want. That will weed many out, but to the serious buyer they now know the bottom dollar. And to hell with those 7-10 day auctions. Do a 3 day auction only and make sure it ends somewhere between 6PM and 10PM and on a weekday... not Friday or the weekend. You are bypassing half your market by ending during work hours when someone might now have access to the internet and too many people are in bars on Friday nights(after a long week) or off doing things on the weekend.
Just my thoughts.
