Default How big can you bore a 502 block?

I was wondering how big a bore the 502 block can take. I know it sounds a little extreme, but why not? thanks, Les

The Merling block, http://www.worldcastings.com will bore out to 4.625, and GM's will go to 4.60.

Most folks only seem to take the 502 blocks out to 4.500. That's .030 over. Now if you get a Bowtie block that's a whole 'nuther deal...probably the 4.600.

The Merlins will go 4.625 as mentioned.

If you know where a used 502 block is that needs boring, I know someone with a real nice set of used 4.500 pistons for one.
