Yippee!! Vette gets delivered tomorrow!
I'm glad it is in, but a fair warning to those thinking about transport companies. Although Auto TransExpress/Passport found a way to pick up my newest(actually older) addition in Ohio on Tuesday and have it in Houston a day later(today) they completely forgot to give the driver my work phone number and ended up dropping my vette & a '75 at a depot this afternoon. I got a call tonight by the local transport service that will delivering it tomorrow. Guessing they(Auto TransExpress) have the same mental attitude as their corporate owner(Fed-Ex) that dropping things off and running is Okie-Dokie. NOT! I'm only a little pissed right now, but will take it out on Sandy(my contact at Auto TransExpress) tomorrow after I recieve it.
Fingers crossed that it was taken care of in the one day it was in transit and I won't boil competely over. :mad

I did the dealer auto carrier route with the 10 vehicle transport and I used a group called Champion from Anahiem to Mpls. They gave me the number of the truckers cell phone and we were in good contact for the last 4-5 hours before the scheduled arrival. I had to meet him at the Mpls Auto Auction lot drop off area, but I was there to see him back the vette off the transport.
The service was pretty good IMHO. I must have got lucky.
The car was very dirty though since it was an open transport.

Lavetteman,
I didn't happen to mention before that when I got the call the driver said he had a vette to deliver to me and it was a green '75. WTF! I said no, but I am expecting a black '71. (Response).... "Oh yea, I have that one too."
You don't think I might have gone bizerk if a '75 green vette had been delivered? Nothing against '75's, but I needed a beer after that one.
tyler77...
Hoping your vette comes in as expected. And of course I hope this is nothing to worry about on my end. I'll post pics tomorrow night.

The Mackie driver had my telephone numbers and kept me up-to-date from the moment the car cleared US and Canada Customs. For people shipping north-south I certainly recommend them. My cost, including brokerage fees, was about $650US. That was from PA to Eastern Ontario.
