Default Rear wheel noise

Getting squeaking noise from right rear wheel. Seems to match wheel speed. Goes away when turning left, but stays turning right. After car is driven for a mile or so it goes away all together. How deep will I be digging on this one?

I had something similar with mine .. does it go away with application of either the foot brake or the emergency brake?

Seems to decrease under braking. Right rear wheel has been rebuilt.

Sounds like brake pads to me but also a chance of a u-joint going bad.

If the noise goes away completely under braking, it MAY be the brake pad retaining pins. You may want to look at this first as it is a relatively simple and inexpensive fix. At least rule it out. If you have any run out in the rotor, the pins get dragged back and forth causing a squeek. Clean and lube the pins, see if it helps. This drove me nuts for weeks trying to find, and I was quite releived to find it wasn't a bearing, u joint etc. Just a suggestion, can't hurt...
