serpintine belt on 77
I am looking at putting a serpintine belt system on my 77, power steering, and air conditioning..wondering what anyone else has done with this. I have looked into street and performance and found that it can be done through them for 1800.00 (ouch) and just spent some time emialing someone from gmpartsdirect. they offer a full kit with stock styel brackets that they claim will fit in a 77 vette but they dont have a clue if it requires a remote resevoir power steering setup......if it does they cant tell me what will fit with the way they have designed the brackets......have also heard that a set up from a mid 90 camaro "MIGHT" work and just bolt right up...anyone know anything other than mights and should bes???

the setup from an 88-91 vette works fine....i'ts on my car....dummy up the airpump or use a Breathless eliminator idler pulley...go to a vette junkyard type dealer for the parts....

GM Parts Direct has some pretty good prices for a complete setup, including the water pump, ac compressor, ps-pump and all the pulleys and mounts.
