Default Dynomax Coated headers???????????????

I am selling my Hooker sidepipes (see C3 for sale section). I'm afraid of my grandkids getting burnt, they love to ride in the Vette!!! Has anyone got any experiences with the Dynomax coated headers,, fit, finish, or spark plug issues!!

i have them on my 74 and I'm very pleased with them. They fit well and the only problem I had with the install was a slight interference with the Z-bar for the clutch. No problems with spark plugs and the performance increase was noticeable. I'd recommend them as a good product for the price.

Doesn't anyone use the "search" function anymore? Do a search under C3 Corvettes and archived topics and you'll come up with over 30 times "Dynomax headers" has been used just in the topic header itself. It's no wonder the same repetitive topics keep coming up over and over again.

Maybe he just wanted to talk to a fellow gearhead. Happens sometimes.

I mainly wanted to let others know about the sytem I had listed for sale. After doing the search, I never found any answers about spark plug issues, older headers and rust issues, or anyone who had them on for a couple of years. I guess instead of answering a lot of those "what kind of heads" or "what's the best cam" or "sidepipe" questions I see all the time, I'll use my 30 years of hot-rodding and racing experience and just tell them to use the "search" function!!!!

I had some issues. They are packaged like crap. Plastic bag around them and seperated by a piece of cardboard. Came to me all scratched up from Summit. I sent them back and got another set. The coating wasn't scratched up this time but still didn't look perfect. Other than looks they fit great. Do not use the cheap gaskets that come with them.

Smitty

I have them also and couple plugs are tight but you can still get a socket on em. I am very happy with them. Get some good gaskets just to be safe.

And don't let the crabby guys get to ya. ;)

the Dyno ceramic headers are great. The gaskets that come with them are junk. I sprung a few extra bucks for Percys dead soft aluminum collector gaskets. For the head flanges im usin felpro performmance. the ones with steel core sandwiched between gasket material. more than two years and several loose bolts and still no burnt out gaskets.
