Special Valve Cover Gaskets for synthetic oil?
I need to replace my valve cover gaskets, but I am using synthetic oil. Do I need a special kind of gasket? Would I be better off with one kind over another?
Is liquid gasket better than solid?
Any other important things I should know?

No need to change, but I much rather the "Blue Rubber" gaskets from Fel-Pro over the cork ones. The are reusable and really worth the money in my opinion.

I need to replace them because I blew one out...
That is why I wondered why if something different would be better.

I've always heard that thing about synthetic oil causing gaskets to leak, but I've been running Mobil 1 in the crankcase, tranny, & pumpkin for a while now, and everything seems tight as ever. Just use whatever gasket you want. I use cork because I think it seals a little better, as long as you oil or grease it before you install it.
