Default The "mysterious" left bezel!

Alright, I give up! Where the hell can someone, such as myself, get one of these to replace the cracked one that is currently in my '80? Finding the center bezel is not a big deal, everyone carries them but the bezel over the speed/tach. is another ball of wax altogether. Just so there is no misunderstanding, I am not looking for the lens but the bezel behind it, that is held in with about 8 allen head screws. It has the the brake, high beam and turn signal indicators in the middle of it. Anyone know where this elusive beast might be? Page62 suggested E-bay, which I have been keeping a fairly regular eye on for the past couple of days, but was hoping to find some place that dealt in a new or very high quality part. The part is very flimsy and getting one off of E-bay, not that I can find one, seems a bit dicey to me. With all the hunting about I have been doing, I feel like that Australian guy (Croc. Hunter Steve Irwin) that hunts down animals. Let me know if any of you know where to locate one of these elusive beasts!

Have you checked any local recycling yards? Or any of the well advertised national "Corvette recyclers"? I recall reading about a large one in Michigan (but don't know the name) offhand that specializes in '68 up Corvette parts.

I saw an article on the company in Corvette Fever maybe a year ago?? You might check the Corvette mag's for possible suppliers. I'm at work, but for some reason, have one handy! Try "The Last Detail" at 888-527-8338 or 770-414-0077. Located in Atlanta. Not just Vette's 631-243-3333, in NYC area. Contemporary Corvette 800-367-8388 in Bristol, PA. One of these should have what you need!! Good luck!!

Thanks again for the info. Now I will see if I can afford one if I find it. Since it is very difficult to find, I can only assume that the price will reflect that accordingly.

If it's got **** or tires..it's gonna cost ya'

Try Gary Gruhala. He seems to always come up with the part you need. His website is

Thanks to all for your replies and contact info. on vendors. I am currently trading e-mails with Gary at Gruhala to see what he has. It is good to have all these contacts for all those elusive parts that the majors don't ever seem to carry. This forum rocks!
