I expected it to be bad, but not this bad....
finally got the Slug up on a dyno last Saturday. I knew there were problems with my fuel mixture, and my timing is suspect, too, but I wasn't prepared for the 138.9 hp number. The torque was at least acceptable at 240.8 lb/ft.
the curve was weird though. the torque curve peaked early (2400 rpm), and the hp peaked around 3500, but then both curves started climbing again at 5000?

The more I think about this, the weirder it seems. Something is very, very wrong somewhere. Your car is not slow. And to think Lars tuned your car a few weeks ago! Are your secondaries opening OK?
Could there be an issue with the dyno?

I expect there might be a carb problem - Lars didn't get to fool with mine because I had to leave early. It is in dire need of a rebuild, as well as some tuning. Several other cars were dyno'd that day and most were in line with the owners' expectations. Most were ricers with the opposite torque curve of the slug, but the graphs were consistent.

when i got my 72(1989) it was a slug. when they are slow you can use a stopwatch 0-60 and get an accurate result. mine was 7.2, and i got it down to 6.9
soon after i decided to make upgrades, but, honestly before the stopwatch i thought it ran pretty good!
