Electric Actuators
Do any of you know if there is such a thing as electric headlight and wiper door actuators? You know, they look exactly the same as the vacuum actuators but really contain electric motors. If not, why don't one you guys invent it? Sure would be nice not to worry about vacuum leaks and droopy headlights

Re: Electric Actuators (GrandSportC3)
hmmmm -- that is a thought. Get an actuator that has the same throw, and you could loose about 50 other pieces and vacuum lines. Just a relay and a wire from the headlights.
 idea.

Re: Electric Actuators (BSeery)
I think this would be a great idea on a c-3 (pop up, not flip up like a c-4)
You could probably start with a firebird set up. since 1983 they have had electric pop ups.

Burning Brakes
Re: Electric Actuators (coldwarrior2000)
This has been a long and slow process. I did not realize that setting something up for mass production could take so long. Anyway, I have fifty pair of my latest design being built right now. The fabrication shop is almost a month behind the original completion date. After (or if) I go through the first fifty pair, tooling up for more should be a snap.
The design utilizes current electronics.
I will offer a bracket and hardware kit, as well as a full kit. I don't have any prices in stone yet.
If you get the bracket/hardware only kit you will need to supply:
1. 84-89 Vette headlight switch
2. 1993-1997 Firebird headlight motors
3. 1988-Current Vette or Firebird headlight control module.
This with my brackets and hardware will allow you to complete the conversion on a Saturday afternoon.
Stay tuned for more details.
Thanks,
Chris
BTW--when this is a for real "retail" product, I will speak with the mods here on the forum for approval/permission to adverstise, and discuss the product.
