Default New engine start-up pointers

I will be starting up my rebuilt engine in a couple weeks. Anybody have any pointers that I won't get from reading based on experience? The engine was rebuilt a year ago, so it's been sitting for a bit, shouldn't hurt it though, I was turning it over every once in a while manually.
Thanks in advance, I'll keep you posted on progress.

I'd pre lube it. There's a tool available that turns the oil pump via the dist hole. I'd also squirt a little Marvel Mystery oil in the plug holes.
