Everybody (including me) likes pictures, so here's a few of my new 540. Here's the Merlin block, AFR CNC 335 heads, '69 tripower intake, and new Holley carbs. Can't wait to get this thing running!

Thanks guys!
Oh, and don't worry about the "Ford blue" block. I have Chevy orange paint ready and waiting.

Joe:
Don't forget that camshaft ;) .
Seriously though, everything is looking very nice. I can remember when you first started collecting parts for this project. I'm glad to see you went with the AFR heads after all. Who did you end up getting them through. I remember you had some problems when you first tried ordering them and they were out of stock.
So what cam do you have planned? The tri-power intake is a classy touch. You may lose a little horsepower by using that intake and carb setup (as opposed to a single plane and 4 barrel carb) but I'm sure you'll never know the difference with as much horsepower as that motor is going to put out. Too much is never enough Joe :D .

Who cares what color the block is? Okay... orange would look better. Quite unique! My best wishes that it does everything you want. Kudos!

Looking great Joe! Have you decided where you gonna put that powerplant once it's ready? Have you thought about converting that Tri-Power set up into a EFI?
