Turbo-Hydromatic Geyser
My car has been in the garage without being moved for a few months. Today I backed it out of the garage and then drove it up onto the trailer. When I shut off the engine ATF shot out of the dipstick all over the engine :cry I guess a dirt dobber built a nest on my vent tube. Is that what it sounds like to you guys?

I had a similar leak- only after I shut the engine off. It turned out to be a bad O-ring where the tube inserts into the trans. Just something else to consider...

What probably happened is, all of the fluid in the torque converter drained into the trans while it sat. Then when you started it the fluid level was very high at first. As the torque converter filled with fluid the air went into the trans because there is no vent on the torque converter. As everthing warmed up and expanded the air had to get out.. maybe the vent cap was sort plugged until the air blew it open. Fill it to the correct level and drive it a while but keep an eye on the fluid level.
