Default Helpful Hint on Holley Carb Heat Problem

I was having the common problem of my fuel boiling in my Holley float boals on my LT-1. After trying phenolic resin spacers, fuel line heat shields etc. I communicated with Lars and he reccommended a heat shield/carb spacer kit from Mr. Gasket. I purchased a Mr. Gasket heat shield/spacer from Summit (part MRG3710). This kit has a metal heat shield bottom layer and a combination of two additional thin metal spacers and gaskets. The total thickness is about 1/2" which is consistent with the factory gasket thickness on my LT-1. All spacers and gaskets are of the four hole design which showed a marked improvement in my low end throttle response (as an added bonus).

The kit totally resolved my fuel boiling issue and I would recommend it to anyone who has experienced common problem with old Corvette Holleys.
